Take Your Power Back Weekend

This November, Americans will experience one of the most critical elections of our lifetime. Even though Millennials and GenZers make up one of the largest voting-eligible groups in the country, students like you are up against some of the most egregious voter suppression tactics aided by the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s why on August 1st and 2nd, The Andrew Goodman Foundation will host its first annual “Take Your Power Back Weekend,” a virtual conference to help you take your power back and prepare you to vote in 2020 and beyond. Join us for two days of inspiration, education, and empowerment provided by elected officials, student activists, athletes, and artists.

Vote Run Lead is hosting a panel "Why You Should Vote in November, And Lead Every Day"at 1:05pm EST moderated by Maria Elena Garcia, Special Projects Coordinator & Executive Assistant, Vote Run Lead with Bushra Amiwala, Youngest Muslim Elected Official in the United States, Mary-Pat Hector, Program Strategist at Rise, and GA Black Youth Vote Coordinator, and Reyma McCoy McDeid, Executive Director, Central Iowa Center for Independent Living
