Kristy Pagan

For the past 13 years, former Michigan State Representative Kristy Pagan has worked on political campaigns helping to elect progressive Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. In 2014, Kristy ran herself and won a competitive election to the Michigan House, winning as a first-time candidate by more than 10 points. She went on to serve six years in the Michigan House representing her hometown community where she was eventually term-limited. While serving in the Michigan legislature, Kristy was elected Chair of the Progressive Women’s Caucus by her colleagues and championed reproductive healthcare, environmental justice, pay equity and public education.

In the 2018 election cycle, Kristy served as the Campaign Chair for Michigan House Democrats where she helped secure the largest number of Democratic wins in the Michigan State House in a decade. Before leaving office, she was active in candidate recruitment and training for the Democratic Party and helped candidates run for local school board, county commission, state house, and state senate seats. Now, she manages her own political consulting firm - KP Campaigns - that helps progressive candidates run and win. Kristy also received her master’s degree in politics from The George Washington Graduate School of Political Management in Washington, D.C.
