Georgia State Director
Alaina Reaves is a graduate of Georgia State University, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Public Policy from the Andrew Young School of Public Policy. Alaina began her career in politics on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. interning with Congressman John Lewis and at the White House with President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama. After graduating, Ms. Reaves moved to Jacksonville, Florida to work as an analyst in the Office of Economic Development. In Jacksonville, she was able to combine her passion for civic engagement with economic and community development. Since the 2018, Alaina has been a National Certified Trainer with Vote Run Lead leading trainings across Georgia and traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the National Day of Training in 2019. Alaina has spent her professional and personal life working to get great candidates elected and increase diverse representation in elected bodies on every level. As the Georgia State Director for the RUN 51 program, Alaina is elated to travel her home state recruiting, training, and helping elect qualified women candidates to the Georgia State Assembly.
Ms. Reaves lives in Morrow just south of the Atlanta airport helping build her community with a coalition of local youth advocates. Alaina has a passion for community service and when not working is reading the latest non-fiction, writing, or cycling.
